USU is minutes from two federally designated wilderness areas, which means students have access to thousands of acres of public land for backcountry skiing, hiking, and more.

Arts and Culture

In addition to USU's Caine College of Arts, which hosts numerous events on campus, Logan has a variety of theaters, galleries, events, and nationally touring productions each year.

Surrounding Area

Ten major ski resorts, many of which hosted sites for the 2002 Winter Olympics, lie within a two-hour drive of campus. USU is also within a half day's drive of six national parks, including Yellowstone.

College Town

Logan is in the top 15 (and #2 in the West) for Best College Towns, according to the AIER College Destination Index. The town was also ranked #1 easiest place to find a job, according to Business Insider.
