Spring is right around the corner....

March 17, 2008

Hey everybody,

It's Alex again. Hope the weather has treated everyone ok. We just got done with our Spring Break this last week and had a blast down in Southern Nevada! It was like 70 degrees! I heard we got a bit more snow here in Logan and it was a little chilly. Spring Break was such a fun break. I definately needed that break. We went swimming, golfing, had a family picnic, and still had plenty of time to veg out and watch movies and all that good stuff that we need to do as college students.
Also, just so you know, I had a birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday to me.
Have a great week. I love Utah State! Go Aggies!

Valentine's!

February 15, 2008

Hey everybody,

It's Alex. Wanted to wish you all a happy Valentine's day a day late. Hope you all had a nice day.

It has been a busy week. I left Saturday to head down to St. George for a golf tournament hosted by SUU. There 18 teams from all over Utah as well as some from Oklahoma and Kentucky. It was such nice weather down there. It was 60 degrees for most of the time. That's a little different than Winter in Logan.

It's also been a tough week for school. I missed two days of class and so now I have a lot of homework for the weekend. A lot.

I missed the Aggie game on Saturday but we beat San Jose State at home to remain undefeated in the Spectrum. We play in Hawaii on Saturday. That will be a good game.

Alex Putnam, signing off....

School is right around the corner.....

January 4, 2008

Hey everyone,

It's Alex. We are just about ready to get back in to the swing of things with school. We start Spring semester on Monday! This break has gone by so fast. It has been so nice though. I went back to Mesquite, Nevada for the Holidays. My whole family came down including my brother and his wife and their 6 month old little girl Haven. She is so cute and was a lot of fun to have her there for Christmas. She loved wrapping paper, and that's pretty much it. We did a lot of relaxing, saw a movie, watched a lot of football, and had the best food!

We also got together with my mom's side of the family, the Trumans, down in Las Vegas. It was great to see Aunts and Uncles and cousins and now all the younger generation that we have in our family. This was Christmas day.

And then on the 28th, we headed back up to Salt Lake for my best friend's wedding, not the movie, my real best friend's wedding. He got married the Dec. 29th so there was a dinner the night before and then the wedding and reception the next day. It was a great wedding. Everyone looked so nice. He looked great and she looked beautiful.

I spent New Years in Salt Lake with some friends. I can't believe that it is already 2008! Wow. Looking forward to having another great year as an Aggie.

The Aggie Basketball team is looking tough. We played at home against Hawaii last night. They had a good team and stayed pretty close but the Aggies pulled away at the end to go 11-5 on the year. Next home game is the 12th of Jan. We host New Mexico State. It will be a good game.

Happy New Year!

Alex

Here we go again...

December 10, 2007

Hey everyone,

We just had a nice break for
Thanksgiving, good time to go home and see my family and spend some good quality time at home with them and relaxing from school. It is a much needed.

I'm from Mesquite so we headed to a warmer climate for Thanksgiving. It's only about 6-6 1/2 hour drive. Not bad. Can't beat the food at Grandma's house...
We ate with my mom's side of the family. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents. My little cousins are getting so big!

Now it's back to school and time for finals. The week before finals was slow. Not alot of work in classes, but a lot of review and test outlines.

Finals week is looking ok for me this semester. I always stress for finals and then find out that I didn't need to. But I guess it's better to over study and stress than not to care enough. We'll see how they go. I only have 3 finals this week. Once again, not too bad.

Aggie basketball is looking good. We've had some tough road losses but the team is improving and looking strong. What could be better than to celebrate the end of finals week than a home game with the Aggies on Saturday!?

GO AGGIES!

Alex

Schedule

November 12, 2007

Well, hello there. I just got done with class for the day. There is not a better feeling on a Monday afternoon at 1:26 pm. Most f my classes are Monday, Wednesday, Friday. My schedule goes a little something like this:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings I have Econ 1500 at 8:30am to 9:20am. I know, it's pretty early. (It was so cold this morning) After Econ I go to Institute, which is right next to the Taggart Student Center at 9:30am to 10:20am.(Makes it nice) Then I have a Sports Psychology class at 10:30am to 11:20am.(One of my favorites) Then I usually meet some friends on campus for lunch from 11:30 to 12:20. There are quite a few places to eat so we rotate or decide by what we feel that day.(No bad choices) Then I have my last class of the day, Management Information Systems (MIS) from 12:30 to 1:20. Then I usally have golf practice at 2:00. Right now we are on break so I do homework or work.

Tuesdays and Thursdays I have English 2010 at 9:00-10:15. It's nice for me to break things up and have them seperate. Makes it easier on me.

Well that is the schedule this semester. Go Aggies!

Utah State is Great!

November 9, 2007

Friday Morning. What a week! I just finishd with a test in my Econ 1500 class. It was a pretty rough test. I lived in the library all day yesterday. I guess we will see how it went.

We just finished with golf practice for this part of the season. We have a split season from the end of August until now, and then from Feb. til the end of April. It's just too cold the rest of the time here in Logan. I already miss it.

Aggie Basketball is just getting fired up. We have had two exhibition games and man do the Aggies look strong. We have our first regular season game at home tonight at 7:00. We will be playing Southern Utah University. And then tomorrow night is down at Weber State. And then on Monday is Montana Western. 3 games in 4 nights is too good to be true...

I am all set and registered for classes next semester. It's going to be a tough semester, but what's new.

Well I gotta go read for another class. 200 more pages to go, you can do it.
