Resident Freshmen Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis. To be considered for scholarships, applicants must be admitted to Utah State University Logan Main Campus with the intent to graduate from Utah State University. (Students majoring in programs sponsored by other academic institutions, i.e. nursing from Weber State, are not eligible for Utah State University sponsored scholarships.)

Note: Scholarships below reflect an increase in awards and parameters. These scholarships are effective for Fall 2008 and are subject to change.

Presidential Scholarship
Deadline - February 1

  • Scholarship awards full tuition and student body fees each semester for eight semesters.
  • Applicants must have an admissions index score of 131+ to be considered.
  • This award only applies to undergraduate coursework. A student must enroll and complete at least 12 credit hours each semester for a total of 24 credits per year to remain eligible.

Dean's Scholarship
Deadline - February 1

  • Scholarship awards full tuition each semester for four semesters.
  • Applicants must have an admissions index score of 126+ to be considered.
  • This award only applies to undergraduate coursework. A student must enroll and complete at least 12 credit hours each semester for a total of 24 credits per year to remain eligible.

Aggie Scholar
Deadline - February 1

  • Scholarship awards $950 each semester for four semesters.
  • Applicants must have an admissions index score of 120+ to be considered.
  • This award only applies to undergraduate coursework. A student must enroll and complete at least 12 credit hours each semester for a total of 24 credits per year to remain eligible.

Merit
Deadline - February 1

  • Scholarship awards $600 each semester for two semesters.
  • Applicants must have an admissions index score of 116+ to be considered.
  • This award only applies to undergraduate coursework. A student must enroll and complete at least 12 credit hours each semester for a total of 24 credits per year to remain eligible.

Achievement
Deadline - February 1

  • Scholarship awards $300 each semester for two semesters.
  • Applicants must have an admissions index score of 112+ to be considered.
  • This award only applies to undergraduate coursework. A student must enroll and complete at least 12 credit hours each semester for a total of 24 credits per year to remain eligible.

University Ambassador Program
Deadline - February 1

  • Scholarship awards full tuition and student body fees each semester for eight semesters.
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA and 23 ACT/1060 SAT to be considered.
  • In addition to a separate application, applicants must submit an extensive recruitment portfolio and two letters of recommendation.
  • This award only applies to undergraduate coursework. A student must enroll and complete at least 12 credit hours each semester for a total of 24 credits per year to remain eligible.

Alumni Chapter Scholarships

Zions Bank Founders Scholarship
Deadline - March 1

  • The Zions Bank Founders Scholarship Program awards a four-year, full-tuition scholarship annually to 13 Utah high school students.
  • Scholarship awarded based on academic achievement, citizenship and community involvement.
  • Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and be admissible to Utah State to be considered.
  • Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation written by a teacher or administrator of their respective high school.
  • Applicants must submit a one-page letter that addresses why they should be considered for this scholarship.
  • Applicants must complete an Application for Admission and Scholarship to Utah State.
