Western Undergraduate Exchange
Note: To be considered for scholarships and the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), applicants must be admitted to Utah State University Logan Campus with the intent to graduate from Utah State University. (Students majoring in programs sponsored by other academic institutions, i.e. nursing from Weber State, are not eligible for Utah State University sponsored scholarships.)
Program Deadline - February 1, 2008 (Awarded on a space available basis)
Currently, all of the WUE awards for the 2008-2009 school year have been offered. Students who now submit a request will be included on the waiting list.
-
This is an exchange program for undegraduate students. The student must mark prominently the letters "WUE" on the top of a paper copy of the Utah State University Undergraduate Application for Admission & Scholarship or make note of this in the "comment" section of the Web Application. The application must be received in the Admissions Office by February 1, 2008.
-
If the student has previously made application online or did not write "WUE" on their paper application form, they may complete the online WUE Consideration Request Form or send a letter requesting "WUE" consideration. This letter must include the student's full name, social security number, permanent address, and the first semester they will be attending classes at USU. Send this information directly to: Admissions, 0160 Old Main Hill, Logan UT 84322-0160 or it may be sent via email to: craig.whyte@usu.edu.
-
The program is filled on a yearly basis beginning with fall semester. (There is not a seperate process for those beginning classes in spring.) Because this program is limited, you are encouraged to apply early. (Late applications will be taken until the program is filled.) If awarded the WUE, the student will pay 150% of instate tuition.
-
Notification of awards will begin the last week of February. The program is set for a maximum of 8 semesters, depending on the number of transfer credits the student may have already accumulated.
-
