Having someone else register for your first semester back?
Utah State University has created a “return guide” for students who plan to take a leave of absence in order to serve a religious mission, to serve in the military, or who for other reasons need to take a leave of absence longer than one year.
This packet will provide your parents/guardians with the information necessary to discuss course selection with your advisor and the ability to register for you in the event you miss priority registration for the semester you wish to return.
The Long-Term Preparation Guide (pdf) contains information about your leave and will be especially helpful to a parent or spouse.
The Long-Term Advising Plan (pdf) you will fill out with your academic advisor before your leave. This will include courses you will need to take in your first semester back.
Lastly, to set up your securityphrase and indicate delegates on your account that we have your permission to speak to, please go to id.usu.edu and choose the “Securityphrase” option.
