This property is located near the town of Panguitch at approximately 125 West 400 South, Panguitch, Utah, in south-central Utah. It is owned by the UAES, and consists of about 140 acres of flood-irrigated property. The elevation is about 6,600 feet, with a cold climate characterized by frequent frost in any month of the year. Thus, the only viable crop is forage. The Station has about 65 acres of alfalfa/grass hay meadow and about 75 acres of grass pasture. This resource supports a herd of about 36 registered Tarentaise cow/calf pairs plus replacement heifers and herd sires, all owned by the ADVS Department. Physical facilities include a residence for the farm manager, livestock corrals and sheds, and some haying equipment. This resource is currently being used for research on grazing management of irrigated pastures.
