Peace of Home child Care is committed to providing a professional, friendly, nurturing and secure environment where children have ample opportunities to explore and expand their curiosities and talents. Using developmentally appropriate activities to include art, music, physical fund, etc. children's creativity and social skills are enhanced. Ultimately, parents can rest as they know their child is experiencing the "peace of home" while parents tend to their duties.
I do what I do because I love my job! I have my Bachelor's Degree in FCHD with an emphasis in child development as well as an AA in Early Child Development. I am married to by best friend, Todd Parry. We met in Utah County in 1998 and got married February 2000. We have three children of our own, Charity (9), Eyan (5), and Keyaura (11 months) whom we adore. We came to Cache Valley when Todd got hired by Smithfield City Police Department in December 2001. Todd quit the police department a couple of years ago to further his education through a Master's Degree in Social Work at Utah State University which he will complete May 2012. Todd presently works part time for Ogden Police Department Mental Health in Preston Idaho. We love to play and celebrate holidays, birthdays and any reason to celebrate. We have a deep respect and love for our freedoms and country. Todd began his service to our country in the Marine Corps as a firearms instructor, then moved to Utah and serve as a Military Police Officer in the Army Reserves. Todd served a tour of duty in Iraqi Freedom in 2003-2005 We are very sentimental, communicative people with a sincere love and appreciation for friends and family.
My passion and commitment to childcare began as a nanny in 1996 where my interest and love for children was enriched. I moved on from being a nanny to be a daycare assistant for Teeter Toddlers in Smithfield from which I have moved on to providing care out of my home for the past 5 years.
I have my CDA credential and was awarded national accreditation May 2010. I am a member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care) and a member of CHILD. I am fully licensed and insured and meet all fire, health and safety regulations.
