I am currently completing a one-year assignment as a contractor in Gaborone, Botswana. I have been a Public Health Administrator with BOTUSA.

We have been doing studies and trials using Isoniazid as preventative therapy in preventing tuberculosis in HIV-positive individuals. Botswana and the Centers for Disease Control (BOTUSA) have a collaborative partnership to prevent TB in Botswana, which has one of the world's highest HIV and TB infection rates.

I will be returning to my home in Mosheim, Tennessee on the 1st of July until I can obtain another short-term international assignment.

I am currently the head of the Unmanned Systems Branch of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego. The branch is the Navy's largest research and development laboratory for robotics.

In late May I will be going to Washington DC to accept the Top Navy Engineers/Scientists of the Year Award for 2008 from the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition (ASN RDA), for my work in extending communication range for robots currently in theater. In June I will also be receiving a Meritorious Civilian Service Award.
I am married and have two wonderful girls (15 and 12 years old).

I am currently teaching economics related classes for Embry-Riddle University(Space Coast Campus) as an associate professor, and I reside in Melbourne, Florida. I teach both online and onsite.

I was recognized as the Embry-Riddle Space Coast Campus Faculty of the Year and also the Embry-Riddle Southeast Region Faculty of the Year for 2005-2006. I also teach online classes for Corinthain College (Santa Ana, CA). I enjoy my students and my rewarding career as a motivator of minds and as a facilitator of knowledge. I could not have done it without the support and encouragement I received from the distinguished faculty of USU's Economics Department, particularly Dr. Donald L. Snyder. Thank you for your guidance!
I welcome emails from fellow alumni. I still have fond memories of my days in Logan, Utah as an Aggie! Shree :-)
