Changes Have Been Made...

To our Annual Membership Program

In an effort to provide better resources and services to more of our alumni, we are making some exciting, positive changes to our Annual Sustaining Membership program. These changes will officially be effective as of July 1, 2013. Annual Membership Infographic

In years past, Annual Sustaining Members have supported the university through an annual membership fee (or gift) of $35 for a single membership, or $50 for a joint membership. These membership fees went directly to the Alumni Association to provide programs, events and resources for Aggie alumni around the world.

With the change in our Annual Membership Program, members now have the opportunity to choose the area to which they would like their gift donated. For example, if you are interested in supporting the arts, you could make an annual gift to the Caine College of the Arts, and with that gift, also receive an annual membership with the USU Alumni Association, including all the associated benefits. Of course, you also have the option to continue directing your annual gift to the Alumni Association.

Impact on Lifetime Members

All proceeds from Lifetime Memberships will still go directly to the Alumni Association to support scholarships, Homecoming, Student Alumni Association, the development of state, regional, national and international Aggie representative programs, resources for the Career Aggie Network, alumni events, grassroots advocacy on behalf of the university and higher education and many other services that promote the excellence of Utah State University. As a result, this change will make our Lifetime Members an even more crucial component to the continued success of the Alumni Association.

Lifetime Members are part of the association's closest group of friends and benefactors. With that honor comes a number of exclusive benefits available to this group only. In the past, some of those benefits were also available to Annual Members, but that will no longer be the case. Examples of those benefits include

  • the annual alumni calendar (this will be available to purchase for non-Lifetime members)
  • admission to alumni pre-game events
  • 25% discount to Partners In Business conferences

Since changes like this can often cause confusion, we would like to do all we can to help you, as an alum, understand why they were made and how they will affect you. Should you have any questions regarding the alterations to our Annual Membership program, please contact Brandon Taylor at (435) 797-8537 or brandon.taylor@usu.edu.
