Bring your business cards and come ready to meet and greet other Aggies. Our guest speaker,
Mike Glauser from the Clark Center for Entrepreneurship in the Jon M Huntsman School of Business,
USU, will give tips during a presentation and Q&A. A video crew will also be on hand to chat with our
Aggies about their careers after graduating Utah State University. Interested in being interviewed?
Let us know (email jacoba.poppleton@usu.edu) and be sure to come camera ready.

All who attend will receive a signed copy of Mike’s new book, Main Street Entrepreneur a "timely
and relevant book that is written in an immediately applicable way” says Stephen M. R. Covey.
"Michael Glauser’s Main Street Entrepreneur is filled with real learnings from the trenches of
startups and delivers a complete tool box for entrepreneurs to start and build their own businesses.
Glauser’s success as an entrepreneur, along with the insights and learnings of another
100 entrepreneurs, gives the book enormous credibility and gravitas. … I highly recommend it!”

Utah State University professor and serial entrepreneur Michael Glauser is no stranger to
writing books or riding bikes. Glauser, the director of the Jeffrey D. Clark Center for Entrepreneurship
in the Huntsman School of Business at USU, decided to do both in 2014 when he rode through
Main Street America to find small-town entrepreneurs who’ve made their way and have built
successful businesses –anywhere.

Glauser’s newest book, Main Street Entrepreneur, provides readers with nine keys to building a
successful business that come from conversations with small town entrepreneurs across America

FREE TO ATTEND
Networking event the first hour; presentation by Mike Glauser the second hour; have your book signed by the author.

"Parent involvement in organized youth sport: The good, the bad, and the ugly"

Dr. Travis Dorsch will speak to the impact of parent involvement in organized youth sport, drawing on
personal and academic understanding of family relationships and parent-child interaction in this
ubiquitous context. Salient questions will be addressed, such as: How much is too much to spend on my
kids’ sports? What should I say to my kids from the sidelines at their events? When is it too early
to sign them up for the travel team? Am I that parent? Dr. Dorsch will also share the evidence-based
strategies he employs with sport leagues, administrators, and parents to foster more developmentally
appropriate youth sport contexts.

"Utah and the Colorado River: the Past, the Present, and the Future"

Although primarily confined in deep canyons in the state of Utah, the Green and Colorado Rivers are
important water sources for agriculture and for cities, and hydroelectricity generated at Glen Canyon
and Flaming Gorge Dam is distributed throughout the state. These same rivers are the focus of white
water rafting tourism and are critical habitat for endangered endemic fish species. The future of these
rivers is thus linked and will be strongly affected by reduced stream flow caused by a warming
climate, increased human demands within Utah, and increasing human demands outside Utah
