President - Katie Harris

Vice President- Chris Brown

My name is christopher brown and I'm a greatful anthropologist. I've been addicted to anthropology for about two years now, and find myself in a VP position for the club. Over the summer, I managed a short sobriety period away from the subject but upon returning to school, I am now hitting the the anthro books as hard as ever. Occasionaly, I'll take a break from this addiction through yoga, running and/or beer (doing all three simultaneously may be a bit dangerous...but hey, its worth the adventure). My addiction to anthropology has landed me a TA position for Anthro of Religion, which I enjoy tremendously. This suits me, because I have majors in both anthropology and religious studies. I am going to stop here, because I can go on and on if I'm not careful....thank you for listening.

T. Christopher Brown
p.s.
If any of you fellow anthro addicts wish to support my addiction, feel free to talk with me about theory or yoga.

Secretary- Aubrey Hill

Hi. My name is Aubrey Hill and I'm the Secretary of the Anthropology club. I'm currently a senior. I'm from Salt Lake City by birth but not by any other standard. I spent most of my life in the fine state of Washington about 45min south of Seattle. I'm probably heading to grad school when I graduate focusing on evolutionary cultural analysis and environmental practice. My main research question is what conditions (be it cultural or "environmental") make the development of ecologically aware and practicing cultures more or less likely. Outside the world of academia (which I reluctantly admit exists) I play the viola, guitar, and the banjo and hope to add more to that list, I love Folk music both listening and playing, and I have a thing for motorcycles, funky cafes and used book stores. There you have it, far more than you ever wanted to know about me.

Treasurer- Shaun Conner

My name is Shaun Conner.  This is my second year as a senior in the Anthropology program.  I am interested in linguistics, international relations, and third world development.  I have lived in South America and am minoring in Portuguese, Spanish, and Latin American Studies.  I also coach gymnastics and work as an aquatics director for the Boy Scouts of America.

Co-publicist- Ashley Smith

Hello! My name is Ashley Smith and I am currently in my 5th year at Utah State. I am an archaeology emphasis and am working towards a museum certificate as well. (which explains the extra year)
I am the club's co-publicist. I make pretty posters for the different events that we will be having. Some of the cool stuff I've done with the the Anthropology Department is that I've done a lot with Dr. Bonnie Pitblado. I've been on a field school in Colorado and Idaho,  and this summer I've been working in SE Idaho surveying farmers' fields, sagebrush ridden landscapes, and mosquito infested shorelines! Don't get me wrong its a blast, I probably wouldn't have it any other way. Well except for all the bugs, I could live without the bug bites. I've also been involved with the Museum of Anthropology, creating exhibits, working with collections, and programming the "Saturdays at the Museum" events. I've also worked with 4 amazing interns this summer working on a bilingual audio tour, and have had the best time with them. Working in a museum is wonderful and its hard to figure out which venue I want to eventually end up in.  Museums? Archaeology? Hmmmm. . . . . Well for now I'm happy straddling both of them!

Co-publicist- Rachel Rambay

Hi! My name is Rachel Rambay and I'm the club's co-publicist. I'm currently a senior. I was born in Florida and later raised in Provo. I was brought up in two different cultures...Latin American as well as American. It has helped me have different perspectives on certain subjects. I'm currently interested in socio-cultural (social problems), medical anthropology (particularly diseases). I would like to at least speak five different languages, I speak Spanish, a tiny bit of French and I'm currently learning German. I enjoy listening to all types of music, being outside during the summer, traveling, dinosaurs and looking for  vintage items.
