President (with wife)

Hi everybody, I am James Quinlan Meservy, President of the Anthropology Club here at Utah State University.  I want to let you know a little about myself.  I am a Senior at USU, majoring in Anthropology with an Archaeological emphasis, with minors in Geology and Russian.

If any of you have a question, concern, cool idea for a service project or activity we could do as a club, please e-mail me at serv_dawg@yahoo.com, and we will do whatever we can for you.

Have a wonderful day!

Vice President

Hi. My name is Aubrey Hill and I'm the Vice President of the Anthropology club. I'm a junior by credit standing but unless I decide to leave a year early and backpack Europe I'll probably be here two more years. I'm from Salt Lake City by birth but not by any other standard. I spent most of my life in the fine state of Washington about 45min south of Seattle. I'm probably heading in a cultural direction when I go to grad school but anything is possible as long as it's Anthropology. My two overriding interests are theory/epistemology and politics. Outside the world of academia (which I reluctantly admit exists) I play the viola, guitar, and the banjo and hope to add more to that list, I love Folk music both listening and playing, and I have a thing for motorcycles, funky cafes and used book stores. My favorite book is Crime and Punishment and my favorite TV show is The Daily Show. Finally, I T.A. for Dr. Simms' 2030 World Archaeology Class this semester, which I absolutely love. There you have it, far more than you ever wanted to know about me.

I'm very interested in Applied Anthropology, especially after attending Dr. Glass-Coffin's Ethnographic Field School in Huanchaco Peru. I like African Dancing, almost all food, knitting, reading, and travelling. I hope to see you at one of our club activities shortly!

Treasurer

Hello! My name is Katie Harris, and I am currently the Treasurer for the Anthropology Club.  This is my second year at Utah State, and I am enjoying my time here as an Anthropology major.  I am emphasizing in Archaeology, and have experience in the lab.  This summer, I will finally being going on an field school!  As a final plug, I would like to urge anyone interested in Anthropology to join the Anthropology Club. You don't have to be a major, and we would love to have you!
