The USU Museum of Anthropology offers a fun and exciting opportunity for Boy and Girl Scouts to learn about Archaeology, while earning a merit badge! To learn more about this program, contact our museum coordinator at 797-7545.
The purpose of this patch is to educate boy and girl scouts in the study of humans specifically archaeology and the study of ancient peoples.The Museum hopes by providing scouts with a deeper understanding of humans both as individuals and as members of society that they will be able to learn and appreciate the diversity and commonality in all human behavior and societies.
To earn the archaeology merit badge scout patch the scout needs complete the three requirements, have a museum employee review your completed worksheet and sign the form below to certify fulfillment of the patch requirements.
For Cubs scouts and Brownies: choose 1 requirement from each of the three elective categories (Cultural, Artistic, and Scholastic).
For boy scouts and Juniors: Choose 2 requirements from each of the three elective categories (Cultural, Artistic, and Scholastic). For more information please contact our museum coordinator at 797-7545 and pick up the information at the museum. |
