Los Totorales The caballito de totora is made from the torora reeds which grow in a designated area on the beach of Huanchaco. These designated areas are known as the totorales.
	Trujillo Trujillo is the large city closest to Huanchaco at 15 km. The locals go to downtown Trullijo for entertainmet, shopping, and other essentials that are not found in Huanchaco.
	El Brujo El Brujo is an archeological site just north of Huanchaco. It is right on the Pacific coast. Here archeologists have uncovered various civilizations covering thousands of years of history.
	Huaca de la Luna Also an archeological site on the Pacific coast. The Huaca de la Luna .
	Chan Chan Chan Chan archeological site is just south of Huanchaco. It can be seen from the road on the way to Trujillo.
