The purpose of the Friends of the Elderly program is to enhance the lives of grandparents, college student volunteers, and college student leaders through relationships formed by service, love, and appreciation. There are many benefits for those who participate in Friends of the Elderly. Through new companionships, the lives of grandparents are brightened. Student volunteers are enriched with the opportunity to give service and to focus outside of themselves.
