Academic Opportunity Fund

The Academic Opportunity Fund provides financial support of up to $500.00 to undergraduate students who have been invited or accepted by a reputable organization to present a scholastic achievement or take part in an academic competition. The following regulations apply:

  • Student must be an undergraduate student in good standing at Utah State University
  • Student must have been accepted or invited to the event and will represent Utah State University at the event
  • Student must have received at least $100.00 in financial support for their presentation or competition from a department, college, or university source
  • The event for which the student is requesting financial support is less than six months away
  • If funding is awarded, student will have sufficient support to cover full cost
  • The scholastic achievement/competition is directly related to the student's area of study
  • The student is requesting $500.00 or less of financial support
