Space Dynamics Lab Support for Student Research
The Space Dynamics Laboratory is a nonprofit research corporation owned by Utah State University and a Unit of the USU Research Foundation. Providing innovative, world-class sensor systems and supporting technologies is SDL's core business. From electro-optical sensors and real-time data reconnaissance systems to calibration services and thermal management systems, SDL delivers the products and services to enable smarter decisions through the collection and analysis of data for science and military applications. At any one time SDL employees over 100 students in areas related to their course of study. Summer internships and PhD Fellowships are offered which include national and international team participation. Our undergraduate and graduate students are currently involved in numerous research projects that provide opportunities to analyze scientific data, build remote sensing instrumentation and participate in all areas of engineering activities. These students receive valuable exposure to scientific programs as well as "hands-on" experience in research while they pursue degrees.
