What to Wear:	Black dance pants, dance top and dance shoes

Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. You will be taught three (3) different styles of dances. The first one will be a technical jazz dance. The second dance will be a hip-hop, followed by a pom-pom routine. We will also do “across the floor” technical turns and leaps, as well as a few sideline cheers. A series of initial cuts will be made Friday to determine who will be invited back for the final audition on Saturday, April 12 at 8:00 a.m.

You will be judged on all the material that you learned and performed on Friday, April 11. Be prepared for a possible interview. 10 positions are available.

Cheer Squad

Time:	1:00 — 5:00 p.m.
Where:	Dee Glenn Smith Spectrum (850 North 800 East)
What to Wear:	Female: Fitted shorts (spandex under them) fitted shirt, cheer shoes Males: Gym shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes

Females: Bring an original cheer. 64 count original dance. (music needs to be on a CD) You will learn a sideline (hip-hop) dance Learn a pom routine Gymnastic passes across the floor (back hand spring is mandatory) There will be a cut for those to come back on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Those coming back on Saturday will have a chance to practice with the guys on partner stunts and basket tosses (will not be judged until Saturday, April 12)

Males: Bring an original cheer. Learn the fight song actions Gymnastic passes across the floor (not mandatory) There will be a cut for those to come back on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Those coming back on Saturday will have a chance to practice with the girls on partner stunts and basket tosses (will not be judged until Saturday, April 12)

You will be judged on all the material that you learned and performed on Friday, April 11. Partner stunting, gymnastics and basket tosses will be judged. Be prepared for a possible interview. 8 female and 8 male positions are available.

Please bring a filled-out registration form with you (if you are under 18 years of age, make sure the application has your parent‘s signature on it). You can get it on-line under Audition Application, pick one up in the Taggart Student Center (room 326), or call (435) 797-2912 and we can send you one. You will be judged on appearance, showmanship, enthusiasm, technique, coordination and possibly an interview. Auditions are closed to everyone except the participants, judges and those helping with the auditions. Utah State University will not be held responsible or liable for any injuries that may occur during these auditions. If selected to be a member of the USU Spirit Squad you are required to have a personal health insurance plan.
