- Q:
What is required to use the Business Computer Labs?
- A: You need to have YOUR valid USU ID card scanned by a Lab Consultant.
- Q:
Why do you need to scan my USU ID card even if you know me?
- A: It is important to keep track of lab usage (every time). This is how we get funds for lab improvements and to staff the labs.
Q: What are the Business Computer Lab’s hours?
- A: Because each Computer Lab’s hours vary, check the hours posted on the door entrance for their available times or click here.
Q: If I left a disk or personal belongings in one of
the labs, where can I find it?
- A: Please check room 107 for lost disks and other items left in computer labs.
(The
lost and found for the Business Building is the Office on the second
floor next to the elevators.)
- Q:
If I have a class that I get free printouts in, can I make printouts before
or after class for free also?
- A: NO. The free printouts are ONLY during
your scheduled class hours.
- Q:
Do I have to pay for all of my printouts? Even if it was a mistake?
- A: YES. You are required to pay for anything you print, even blank sheets.
(Always check print preview to avoid printing any unwanted printouts.)
- Q:
How do I pay for printouts in the computer labs?
- A: Each semester you begin with 30 free printouts. It is deducted by scanning your USU ID.
- Q:
What if I run out of my 30 free printouts?
- A: After your 30 free printouts, if you have any money on your USU ID card it will deduct $.06 for each copy.
- Q:
How do I put more money on my USU ID card for printouts when I run out
of my free copies and money?
- A: There are two ways you can add money to your USU ID card for printouts as well as for other various transactions. (Each printout will cost $.06)
1. Go to
the Card Office on the 2nd floor of the TSC and add money to your card.
2. Simply go online to request a transaction using Visa, MasterCard, or
Discover here:
- Q:
If I don’t use all my free copies, will they carry over to the next
semester?
- A: No. Any unused “free printouts” will not carry over to the next semester. You will start again with only 30 free printouts.
- Q: If I put money on my USU ID card for printouts, will
it carry over to the next semester?
- A: Yes. The money you put on your USU ID card will carry over to next semester and can be used at different areas on campus.

- Q:
Can I bring and use my own paper, envelopes, or any other personal material
to be printed in the computer labs?
- A: NO. Only paper provided by the Business Computer Labs is permitted.

Where can I make comments or find out more information about the Business

- A: Please leave your comments in one of the comment boxes near the lab entrance or visit the Business Computer Lab website at: Business Labs
- Q: What happens if I lost or forgot my USU ID card?
- A: The lab consultant may check you in if he/she is certain you are a currently registered student and you are who you say you are. You will have a maximum of 3 times that you may be allowed in without your USU ID card. After the 3rd time you will not be allowed in unless you obtain your valid USU ID card.
