Lunch with Latinx Leaders

The Latinx Cultural Center (LCC) is hosting a series of bring-your-own-lunch events that are designed to let the USU community get to know their Latinx faculty, administrators, and staff in a substantive way. Lunch with Latinx Leaders presentation is this Wednesday, February 13th from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm in Merrill-Cazier Library, Room 208 (drinks and light snacks will be provided, feel free to bring your lunch). The speaker for this event is Luis Rodriguez. He is the Multicultural Program Coordinator of Access and Diversity Center. Luis will be discussing his experiences of feeling “not good enough” to attend or even graduate college. He will discuss the experiences that have helped strengthen his sense of belonging. This event is open to one and all. We hope to see you there!

Lecture, book reading, and signing with Dr. Gary E. Machlis

Dr. Machlis, will present a public lecture on 'The Future of Conservation in America: A Chart for Rough Water,' reading from the book. Books will be available for sale as well as signing after the lecture.

This is a turbulent time for the conservation of America's natural and cultural heritage. In this time of uncertainty, Machlis provides a clear and compelling guide for the future of conservation in America, a declaration to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders. This "a chart for rough water," is written by the first scientist appointed as science advisor to the director of the National Park Service, Dr. Gary E. Machlis, and the 18th director of the National Park Service.

DBF Introductory Aeorodynamics & Wing Design

We will be covering the basics of aerodynamics and wing design. The objective is to teach enough information to allow club members to be able to design a wing for their x-plane project plane. Entrepreneur Leadership Series: Jessica Mass (Director of Aftercare for Operation Underground Railroad)

The Center for Entrepreneurship in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business presents a series of distinguished speakers in entrepreneurship during the spring semester each year.

On Wednesday nights from January through April, prominent entrepreneurs visit our campus and interact with students, faculty members, and business leaders, and then speak to the community. Each speaker begins at 6:00 p.m. in the University Inn & Conference Center Auditorium.

The series is broadcast to our regional campuses across the state and posted on our website for future viewing. This is part of our commitment to teaching the skills of entrepreneurial leadership and assist with the creation, development, and growth of new business ventures.
