Seminar/Symposium / Center for Integrated BioSystems

Most of the past two decades, our group has worked in applied plant biotechnology with a focus on bioreactor design for plant tissue culture. Recent work has been transient expression of heterologous genes delivered by Agrobacterium auxotrophs to plant cell suspensions grown in bioreactors as a means of rapidly achieving protein expression in plant tissues without the time-consuming process of making stable transgenics.
