8:00 am - 12:00 am    Poetas Y Pintores: A traveling exhibit featuring contemporary Latino Art/Poetry

"Poetas Y Pintores" will feature 24 original works: 12 poems by contemporary Latino poets, presented along side 12 artworks by Latino visual artists.
An opening reception will be held at 4:30 p.m. on April 3, and will feature brief presentations by poets (Francisco Aragon, Maria Melendez, and Aleida Rodriguez), artist (Sam Coronado), and corrido singers (Anastacio and Elisa Castillo.) The Poetas Y Pintores exhibition and public program are supported by the Utah Arts Council with funding from the State of Utah and the National Endowment for the Arts. The public program is also funded by the Utah Humanities Council and the Friends of the Merrill-Cazier Library. The exhibit is in conjunction with the O.C.
