12:00 pm - 1:00 pm    Coping with Seven Disruptive Personality Types in the Classroom

Workshop / Provost Office

Most of us enthusiastically agree that teaching and interacting with students is deeply energizing, not to mention personally and professionally fulfilling. At times, however, we all come in contact with students who may be a bit more challenging to work with. If you have ever had a student who seems uniquely focused on your
peccadilloes and imperfections or who prefers to play by his/her own rule book rather than the one established for the class, this pre-recorded session will be helpful to you. The program is generative and positive and will give suggestions for working with students who may seem self-entitled, quick to blame others, or disruptive to the learning environment through aggressive remarks or lengthy monologues that have limited relevance to course material. Dessert and materials will be provided. Please RSVP to melissa.keller@usu.edu.
