Diwali or Deepavali, also known as the "festival of lights," is one of the most important festivals and is celebrated by performing traditional activities. At USU, Indian Student Association hosts the event and celebrates Indian cultures. Authentic Indian food is served along side spectacular performances of dance, singing and instrument playing. Everyone is invited.

This performance of 'Prometheus' features a concert and spectacular light show that's not to be missed. Laura Jackson, music director of the Reno Philharmonic, will conduct the concert. Dr. Anna Gawboy, assistant professor of music theory at The Ohio State University will also be in residence. It is her scholarly work on Scriabin's 'Prometheus' that led to the realization of the lighting effects the audience will experience at the concert.
