Utah State, how would you like to win a pair of tickets to both nights of the 2013 Banff Mountain Film Festival? Starting Monday, Feb. 11, we’re giving a pair of tickets away daily! That’s right. All you have to do is visit this blog Monday through Friday at noon for details on how to win. Don’t worry, we won’t put you through a series of gimmicks or ads in order to get enter. "Ideas" an exhibition is the result of a collaborative project between the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art and professor Rachel Middleman's art history class. The students explored the history and ideas of conceptual art while learning about specific pieces of conceptual art in the museum's collection. This resulted in a student-curated art exhibit, free and open to the public. The opening reception is Jan. 22 at 5 p.m.

6:30 pm - 10:00 pm    9th Annual Jazz Night at the Sky Club

Fundraiser / Caine College of the Arts

The Skyroom Restaurant will be transformed into a 1930s jazz nightclub for the 9th Annual Jazz Night at the Sky Club. The evening starts with an elegant reception with silent auction, butler passed hors d'oeuvers and specialty drinks with lounge singer, followed by gourmet dinner, including fresh salad, choice of entrée and a delectable dessert. Live Big Band music performed by USU Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble and jazz vocalists, along with performances by professor emeritus Larry Smith, will rock the Sky Club to the unforgettable Jazz tunes of Glenn Miller, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald and more. The dance floor will become a hot spot for the Lindy Hop, Jitterbug and more. Free swing dance lessons will be offered one hour before the event in the TSC International Lounge provided by the USU Big Band Swing Club. Jazz Night benefits the USU Larry Smith Jazz Scholarship and is presented by USU Music Department, University Inn & Conference Center and USU Catering.

The 2013 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is making its annual stop to USU Feb. 14 and 15 in the TSC Ballroom at 7 p.m. both nights. An assortment of films will be shown focused around mountain and local-outdoor culture. Expect to see films about skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing and unique-mountain characters! Don’t miss out on this two-night event open to USU students, faculty, staff and the public. Tickets are available at the TSC Card Office now! Prices: One Night - students, $5.50; public, $10. Both Nights - students,$7.50; public, $15.

9:30 pm - 1:00 am    Delta Sigma Phi presents Lady in Red Dance party

Come join us for our after Valentine's day dance party. The theme is simple ladies wear red and guys wear white or black. This is a DRY Event! Ladies are free until 10:30 and only 2 dollars after that. Guys are 2 dollars before 10:30 and 3 dollars after 10:30. Must be over 18 with a valid state or college ID.
