10:00 am - 5:00 pm "Ideas: an Exhibition"
Arts & Entertainment / Caine College of the Arts
"Ideas" an exhibition is the result of a collaborative project between the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art and professor Rachel Middleman's art history class. The students explored the history and ideas of conceptual art while learning about specific pieces of conceptual art in the museum's collection. This resulted in a student-curated art exhibit, free and open to the public. The opening reception is Jan. 22 at 5 p.m.

10:00 am - 5:00 pm City of the Rocks Yurt Trip & Snowshoe Expedition
Recreational / Outdoor Recreation Center
Join the ORP Presidents Day Weekend (Feb. 16-18) on an exclusive snowshoe trip to the City of the Rocks in southern Idaho. See the world-famous rock structures from a pair of snowshoes while hiking on trails like Window Arch, Indian Grove, and Creekside Towers. Also, take a dip in the geothermal springs close to the park, learn about snow caving techniques, and dutch oven cooking. Along with the beautiful scenery, attendees will stay in a mongolian-style yurt among the rocks. The yurt accommodates six people, and is equipped with electricity, a wood-burning fireplace, bunk beds, and furniture; showers and flushing toilets are located about 100 feet from the yurt. Due to the limited space available, only four students can participate. Registration for the trip is open now at the ORP or by calling (435) 797-3264. The cost of the trip is $40. Food and equipment outfitting will be determined at a pre-trip meeting Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 5 p.m. in the ORP shop.
