In its 27th year, the AIAA/USU Conference on Small Satellites will convene developers, visionaries, sponsors, and enthusiasts for a highly stimulating week of dialog and collaboration to continue the advances of small satellite missions. Speakers representing a broad spectrum of global perspectives and knowledge will share their thoughts and insights on the future of small satellites. Spring Nature Walks, Saturdays, 10 a.m. Join us for an easy stroll and learn about the history of Swaner, what animals and plants call the preserve home, and how the preserve changes through the seasons. Boots or mudshoes recommended. Nature enthusiasts of all ages are welcome. Reservations for nature walks are suggested. There is a $5 fee for non-members, free for members. 10:00 am - 4:00 pm    Tattoo Traditions from Around the World at the Museum of Anthropology

Please join us at the Museum of Anthropology on Saturday, August 10, for this exciting event! While tattoos have become popular in modern American culture, tattooing traditions are more than 5,000 years old. An illustrated lecture at 1 p.m. traces the development of tattoo practices from around the world. Docent-led tours of our "Otzi the Ice Man" and "Message on a Body" exhibits will take place throughout the day. Kids can participate in face painting or get a henna tattoo. The museum is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and admission is always FREE!

Geocaching on the Swaner Preserve -- Enjoy exploring the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter while you learn to geocache! Geocaching will be offered every second Thursday and Saturday of each month during the summer. The following are the scheduled dates: *Thursday, June 13, 4 p.m.; *Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m.; *Thursday, July 11, 4 p.m.; *Saturday, July 13, 11 a.m.; *Thursday, Aug. 8, 4 p.m.; and *Saturday, Aug. 10, 11 a.m. The activity will take 1 hour and reservations are required. Swaner can host 7 individuals or teams for each session and an additional 3 individuals or teams can participate if they have their own GPS units. Free to members $5 for nonmembers. Climbing Wall Hours: Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. The Swaner EcoCenter indoor, wetland-themed climbing wall is open every Saturday from 1-3 p.m. Free for members, $5 per person for non-members. Open to all ages. We provide the climbing harness. Climbers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to sign a liability waiver.
