8:00 am - 12:00 am    Call for Entries: Radiant or Ravaged Photo Exhibition

Exhibit / Other

USU photography students, partnered with the Bear River Watershed Council, have issued a call for entries for their upcoming photo exhibit on the Bear River watershed. They are asking photographers to look for images that portray the "Radiant" beauty or "Ravaged" impacts of the watershed, and submit them for an exhibit in April. They hope to engage both amateur and professional photographers to take a close look at our local watershed with a different eye. Not only to see the beauty, but also to look for impacts of human activities that may not be beneficial to the environment, the watershed, or human health. The exhibit will be hung at the Thatcher-Young Mansion in Logan, Utah, from April 11 through Earth Day, April 22. There will be both an opening and closing reception. Prints will be accepted April 4, and will be juried by Utah State University assistant professor of photography Carsten Meier and professional fine art and nature photographer Howie Garber.

If you have ever read Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books or played Oregon Trail, this event is for you. If you’ve never heard of either, this event is still for you. Your team will be faced with a worst case scenario: trapped in the Engineering Building with a zombie outbreak. Together, you will travel from room to room and choose how to survive. Some decisions will get you through the night, others will get you zombified. It’s up to you to pick. Grab your buddies and form a team of five or register on your own. We are giving away prizes from Buffalo Wild Wings, Firehouse, the Campus Store, Pizza Pie Cafe, and more! *Every participant will get a ticket to ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT WINGS at Buffalo Wild Wings after the event!* The activity is sponsored by USU's Residence Hall Association.
