10:00 am - 11:00 am    Little Naturalist

Arts & Entertainment / Extension

Little Naturalist is the perfect program for 3 to 5 year olds who are curious about animals, their habitats, the environment, and exploring nature.  Join us twice a month, October through May, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to read a specially selected nature-themed book, explore the natural world, and complete a craft.  Some favorites include snowshoeing on the preserve, interacting with live reptiles and amphibians, upcycling old materials into holiday decorations, and much more! Space is limited for some programs, so registering is highly encouraged and appreciated. Cost is $2.00 per youth participant, or buy a $15.00 punch card good for 10 programs (only one punch card required per family). Please dress appropriately for the weather that day. For more information or to reserve your spot, please contact Natalie McHale at (435) 797-8938 or Natalie.McHale@usu.edu.  Programs are held at the Swaner EcoCenter in Kimball Junction.

11:30 am - 12:30 pm    Multicultural Talking Circle

Workshop / Access & Diversity Center

Access & Diversity Center Multicultural Programs, in conjunction with Counseling and Psychological Services, offers a weekly Talking Circle/Discussion group each semester. This group is an opportunity for multicultural students, faculty, and staff to get together, learn from, and support each other. Each week, we will discuss pertinent issues (i.e. race and ethnicity, identity, building meaningful relationships, facing discrimination, sharing success, advocating for yourself, current events, etc). Occasionally, we will be bringing in a special guest to share information with us. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.
