The Merill-Cazier Library is hosting its annual Spring Book Sale. Event starts Wednesday, March 1st @ 9am, continues during library open hours, and ends @ 3pm Friday, March 3rd. All books 25 cents.

13th: Screening and Discussion

In the first installment of a 4 part documentary film series related to issues of Black history and social justice, the Access and Diversity Center would like to invite you to a viewing of the documentary, 13th. 13th, the title of which is a reference to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution (“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States… ”), chronicles the history of racial tension in the United States, including “how our country has produced the highest rate of incarceration in the world, with the majority of those imprisoned being African-American. The screening will be followed by a guest speaker featured in the documentary and an interactive discussion. Refreshments will be provided. This event is co-sponsored by the Black Student Union.
