7:00 am - 10:00 pm    Spring Break: Cataract Canyon Rafting

Recreational / Campus Recreation

Come join us for five days on the might Colorado River in southern Utah. We will raft 94 miles from Moab through Canyonlands National Park and Cataract Canyon to Lake Powell. Packing everything we need in rafts and leaving civilization behind, we will wind through the red rock desert with the Colorado River as our guide. We will enjoy both quiet calm waters, day hikes and the exciting whitewater in Cataract Canyon with the famous "Big Drop" rapids. Participants must be able to swim and prepared for variable springtime weather in a desert river environment. This is a cooperative, cost shared trip for USU students. Trip cost includes food, transportation, permit fees, group cooking & rafting equipment, river bag, wetsuit, and splash jacket. Pre-Trip Meeting: Tuesday February 28th, 7:00pm @OP

11:30 am - 12:30 pm    Multicultural Talking Circle

Workshop / Access & Diversity Center

Access & Diversity Center Multicultural Programs, in conjunction with Counseling and Psychological Services, offers a weekly Talking Circle/Discussion group each semester. This group is an opportunity for multicultural students, faculty, and staff to get together, learn from, and support each other. Each week, we will discuss pertinent issues (i.e. race and ethnicity, identity, building meaningful relationships, facing discrimination, sharing success, advocating for yourself, current events, etc). Occasionally, we will be bringing in a special guest to share information with us. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.
