Patrick Dougherty Art Installation

The USU Dept. of Art + Design in collaboration with the Caine College of the Arts is seeking volunteers to hel artist Patrick Dougherty build a willow sculpture on the USU campus. No specific skills are required other than enthusiasm, physical stamina, and the ability to follow instructions. Building takes place 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Pre-register at art.usu.edu/willow.

Ag Hunt, digital scavenger hunt

Student Activities

Celebrate CAAS Week by playing the Ag Hunt digital scavenger hunt on campus to win sweet prizes. The CAAS Council has partnered with several agricultural organizations in Utah and CAAS student clubs to create a digital scavenger hunt that will get students involved in agricultural activities around the community. An art education researcher and a high school visual arts educator collaborated in a digital making project directly addressing an issue of national preoccupation reflected in the fragmented and divided realities existing in the United States today—immigration.The approximately 60 students participating in this project created a video narrative segment about their experiences as Americans or in America.
