8th Annual Hansen Life Sciences Retreat

Conference/Seminar

All USU Graduate Students in the Life Sciences are invited to participate in the 8th annual Hansen Life Sciences Retreat, hosted by the USU Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the USU Office of Research and Graduate Studies and the USU College of Science. This is an opportunity to share your research in a conference-like setting and receive constructive feedback. A continental breakfast and lunch are provided.

The event is held at the American West Heritage Center, 4025 US Hwy 89 in Wellsville, Utah.

Turn your fear into FASCINATION!

Explore the largest arachnid exhibit in the United States and discover the connections between arachnids and literature, art, folklore, paleontology, science, and history. The Art and Science of Arachnids features 100 live arachnids and exciting hands-on activities, experiments, and play. During its time at the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, this exhibit will be available to read and listen to in both Spanish and English!

An eclectic group of adult students attend the calss of Aaron, a 38-year-old writer from Greenwich Village, who is painfully aware that his failed career forced him to take a teaching job. Over the semester, the pupils become increasingly honest in their writing and cracks appear in their small-town community. Troubled student, Joan, strikes up a friendship with Aaron that may turn into something more. See the students' lives unfold with triumphs and tragedy that can be traced back to their time spent in Aaron's class in 1967.
