Escalante Backpack Trip

Fall Break! We are heading down south for the long weekend to backpack in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. We will pack everything we need on our backs and hike through amazing desert canyons and mesas. We are always hoping for sunshine and warmer weather, but everyone should be prepared for variable fall weather and moderate to strenuous physical activity with backpacks. Trip cost includes backpack, food, transportation, and shared group equipment.

Moab Mountain Biking

Fall Break! We are heading down south near Moab to the long weekend mountain biking. During the day, we will pedal some of the world class red rock trails around Moab. At night, we will join up with other OP trip participants at the the campground and enjoy the evenings by the fire. Participants must be prepared for moderate to strenuous physical activity and know how to ride a bike. Previous trail riding experience is recommended. Trip cost includes: food, transportation, campground fees, and student leadership. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mountain bike(in good working condition) or rent an OP bike for an additional fee($25 full suspension, $20 hard tail). Cost: $130.00 $110.00 if registered before September 23rd (discounted applied at the time of payment) $120.00 if registered before October 7th (discounted applied at the time of payment) $130.00 after October 7th

Moab Climbing, Hiking & Yoga

Fall Break! We are heading down south near Moab to spend a long weekend rock climbing and hiking the in the Moab area. At night we will relax at the campground and enjoy the evenings by the fire. In the mornings, we will greet the desert sun with a yoga practice accessible to all levels. Lazyman Triathlon

Take 31 days to complete 140.6 miles!

Most triathlons are completed in a day, we are giving you a month. 2.4 miles swim, 112 miles bike, and 26.2 miles run all to be completed within the month of October. Register here. Pick up a tracking sheet at the HPER Service Desk and check off the miles as you go. Once you complete the Lazyman, turn in your tracking sheet and receive a free t-shirt. Keep your body moving during the month of October and encourage others to do complete the triathlon with you. Please email aquatics@usu.edu if you have any questions.

The Robot Zoo

Robot animals and hands-on activities illustrate fascinating real-life characteristics, such as how a chameleon changes colors and how a fly walks on the ceiling. Great for ages 4 to adult.
