Wilderness First Aid Course

Information/Orientation

This course is a great introduction to wilderness medicine and basic life support skills. It is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast who wants more than an urban first aid course provides. The emphasis of the class is on recognizing and treating life-threatening traumatic and medical emergencies, common wilderness injuries, bandaging and splinting, and environmental injuries. CPR is included in the curriculum.

The Robot Zoo

Explore the biomechanics of complex animal robots to discover how real animals work! This exhibit reveals the magic of nature as a master engineer. Robot animals and hands-on activities illustrate fascinating real-life characteristics, such as how a chameleon changes colors and how a fly walks on the ceiling. Great for ages 4 to adult.

Winds of War

Arts/Entertainment

Logan Canyon Winds honors veterans with a performance featuring composers who served their countries, either on the battlefield or while occupied. The program also includes a work by one of the many musicians and composers who tragically died in the Holocaust. Favorite quintets by Gordon Jacob and Jacques Ibert will be performed, alongside Pavel Haas’ emotional Wind Quintet and the rarely performed Ouvrage de Dame by Elsa Barraine.
This event will mark Logan Canyon Winds' first performance with Dr. Lauren Hunt, CCA’s new Assistant Professor of Horn. We welcome Dr. Hunt!
