Tectonic Shifts

Arts/Entertainment

The Tippetts & Eccles Galleries at Utah State University will host the juried exhibition “Tectonic Shifts” organized by the Rocky Mountain Printmaking Alliance. We are in a time of cultural tectonic shifts. The pandemic, climate crisis and the environment, increasing awareness and examination of social issues, equality and justice as it relates to race, gender, class, and continued consideration of emigration and migration are all shaping factors in local and global economies, educational institutions and community structures. Our foundations are shaken.

Entrepreneur Leadership Series: Dave Durocher

Panel Discussion/Presentation

This week’s speaker is Dave Durocher, who was arrested for the first time at the age of 13 years old. By the time he was 38, he had been to prison four times for a total of 15 years. After being faced with 29 years in prison, Dave pleaded guilty and went to Delancey Street in Los Angeles for the next eight years. While there, he became the Managing Director, doubled revenues in their training schools’ businesses, and tripled their overall earnings.

Today David is a co-founder and managing director of “The Other Side Academy” in Salt Lake City. He has helped countless other ex-convicts regain their dignity and their families. He is enjoying his own success as the person he has become.
