Join us for an hour of good food, good company, intellectual engagement, and a TimePiece by Dr. Doug Jackson-Smith. The TimePiece is titled "The Hands That Feed Us." It will be held at Cafe Sabor. Dr. Doug Jackson-Smith is a professor of sociology in the department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology. He moved to Utah from Wisconsin to join the USU faculty in 2001. His research and teaching focuses on the sociology of agriculture, food, and natural resources. He currently serves on a scientific research advisory board to the AGree Initiative – a major national coalition of foundations and farm, food and labor interest groups working to generate innovative reforms in U.S. food and agricultural policies.
