Description
USU's Department of Geology is proud to host the opening of the USU Geology Museum. All ages are invited to attend the event, which includes the return of the department's popular "Rock and Fossil Day." Enjoy a tour of the newly opened museum featuring exhibits of meterorites, rocks, minerals and fossils, including invertebrates, vertebrates and plants. The museum emphasizes the geology of Utah and the Cache Valley area, and also includes fossils from the world famous Green River Formation in eastern Utah and southwestern Wyoming. Guests are invited to enjoy other exhibits and activities presented by students and faculty of the Department of Geology. And don't forget to bring your "mystery" rock or fossil for identification by USU geologists!
