Utah State University's Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration is held each January and is co-sponsored by the Access and Diversity Center and the USU Black Student Union. The celebration provides students, faculty, staff and community members an opportunity to consider Dr. King’s legacy and the many sacrifices that have been made to advance social equality. It is also a time to consider the significant work yet to be accomplished, and our personal role in furthering that work. The event will feature Master of Ceremonies Marvin Roberts (Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and Diversity), keynote speaker Reverend France Davis (Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church and member of the Utah Board of Regents), music and poetry by USU’s Black Student Union, and a Community Action Fair.
