Tanner Talk Series: Social Justice in Digital Spaces

Panel Discussion/Presentation

The Tanner Talk series presents the first of a year-long series, "Social Justice in Digital Spaces." On Sept. 26, Tara McPherson will present her lecture "Platforming Hate: The Internet and the Rise of Hate Online." She is professor and chair of the Division of Cinema & Media Studies, Media Arts + Practice Division, at University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Helicon West Poetry Event with Open Mic: "Ruin and Light" with poet Danielle Beazer Dubrasky

Helicon West, in conjunction with the Year of the Woman, presents "Ruin and Light" with Danielle Beazer Dubrasky. Free, uncensored, open microphone, and Caffe Ibis coffee.
Dubrasky directs the Grace A. Tanner Center for Human Values and is an associate professor of creative writing at Southern Utah University.
