Logan Canyon Climb

Recreation

Come spend a few hours rock climbing up in Logan Canyon. We will meet at the OP and drive up the canyon to experience some of the many climbs right in our campus backyard. This is a great opportunity to learn some of the routes in Logan Canyon or try climbing for the first time. No experience necessary, beginners welcome. Trip Cost includes transportation, climbing equipment, and student leadership. Space is limited so sign up today!

All participants must have health insurance and abide by OP and University Policies.

Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Course

Get your American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification!

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.

Wilderness First Aid Course

Workshop/Training

The Wilderness First Aid course is a great introduction to wilderness medicine and basic life support skills. It is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast who wants more than an urban first aid course provides. The emphasis of the class is on recognizing and treating life-threatening traumatic and medical emergencies, common wilderness injuries, bandaging and splinting, and environmental injuries. CPR is included in the curriculum.
This course is taught in partnership with DesertMountainMedicine.

Providence Mountain Biking

Recreation

Grab your bike and come spend a few hours pedaling one of the many fantastic mountain biking trails in the Logan area. We will meet at the OP shop, load up our bikes and drive to the Providence trailhead and ride. Some trail riding experience is recommended. Participants must be in good physical condition and prepared for strenuous physical activity. Trip cost includes transportation to and from the trailhead and student leadership.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own mountain bike (in working condition). If you need a bike, an OP rental is available at a discounted rate.

Virtual OP Workshop: Western Plant Identification

No matter where we are recreating, we are always surrounded by wonderful photosynthesizing plants! Come learn about common plants in Utah; the more friendly, the ones who will give you itchy rashes, and some important identification skills for all those in between.
