Faith Distress Group

Student Activities

This weekly drop-in group is an opportunity for students to get together in a safe environment to learn from and support each other. Each week we will discuss pertinent issues related to faith that cause stress (having faith doubts or internal conflict with elements of your faith, clarifying your spiritual identity, stresses associated with faith transitions, finding a spiritual place of belonging, talking to those of different faiths, etc). Black Box Competition

Student Activities

Description/Rules:
There are two categories in the Black Box Competition, the analog category and the digital contest.

Students competing in the analog category are given an analog circuit enclosed in a “black box” and are asked to draw the electrical schematic of the circuit inside. The box contains only four terminals that the teams use to make electrical measurements that help them unravel the mystery of what is inside.

In the digital contest, students are given a programmable logic device with a pre-programmed circuit. They observe the behavior of the circuit and then try to draw a schematic for the “mystery” design

Calculator Quick Draw

Student Activities

In the Calculator Quick Draw, five to six contestants will face off in each round. The top two contestants from each round will go on to the final round. There will be three judges (each with their own answer sheet), one judge to note who's hand is raised first, and someone to switch the slides and keep score.

Join the USU AIAA Student chapter and USU Rocket Club in ending Engineers week with a blast! Compete to build a compressed air rocket that can fly the highest or the most accurately! The best rockets will receive model rocket kits and bragging rights! Bring your rocket to the event or build one there!

11th Annual CAAS Chili Cook-off

It is time for the annual USU College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences Chili Cook-Off. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2019 and will be held at The Junction 1020 E 750 N, Logan, Utah, located at the base of Mountain View and Valley View Towers. It starts at 5:00 p.m. and goes until the food is gone!

Proceeds from this event will go to help a CAAS student, who was seriously injured in a car accident.

Parking will be available just south of The Junction in the orange lot.
