Wild Encounters: Photography by David Yarrow

Arts/Entertainment

Wednesday - Sunday | 10 am - 4 pm | now until May 13 Free, or $5 donation greatly appreciated Wild Encounters is a must-see for nature lovers, conservationists, photographers and anyone who is inspired by all that remains wild. In this exhibition, David Yarrow invites us to truly connect with subjects we only think we have seen before. Yarrow takes the familiar and makes it new again by creating images that deliberately connect with us on a highly emotional level. Wild Encounters offers a truly intimate view of some of the world's most compelling—and threatened—species, capturing the splendor and very soul of what remains wild and free in our world through portraits that feel close enough to touch.

Film Screening: Bugs! Will eating insects save our Earth?

Arts/Entertainment

Wednesday, April 25 | 7 - 8:30 pm This event is FREE and family friendly. Insects as food is a hot topic. Particularly over the last few years, since the UN recommended edible insects as a resource to combat world hunger, they have been heralded for their taste by cooks and gastronomes, for their low ecological impact by environmentalists, and for their nutritional content by public health scientists. It would seem that insects are the new superfood that will fix all our problems of global food security. This event is brought to you by Park City Film Series in partnership with Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter. Park City Library - Santy Auditorium 1255 Park Avenue Park City, UT 84060
