Wednesday, Oct 10 - 4:00PM to 5:15PM

The Center for Women and Gender and the Provost's Series on Instructional Excellence invite you to join us for "An Evening with Mary Robinson: Reflections on Peace and Social Justice." Mary Robinson, the former President of Ireland (1990-1997) and the former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (1997-2002), has spent most of her life as a human rights advocate. The former Chair of the Council of Women World Leaders and the founder and President of Realizing Rights: The Technical Globalization Issue (2002-2010), Ms. Robinson returned to Ireland and established the Mary Robinson Foundation - Climate Justice (http://www.mrfcj.org/). Ms. Robinson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Obama in 2009. A book signing will follow the presentation.
