Department of English Writing Award
Ralph Redford, a career foreign service officer, has generously given over a million dollars to create the Hubbard Family Scholarship Endowment in the Department of English. Ralph, who is 94, and lives in the District of Columbia, wants the legacy of creative writing enhanced in USU students. He is thrilled that USU alumna, May Swenson, a poet and MacArthur fellow has her portrait at the National Gallery. Every young aspiring USU writer will benefit from his gift.
