HPER

The HPER Building (actually pronounced HYPER) has 2 swimming pools, 3 gymnasiums, dance studios, six handball / racquetball courts, aerobics room, and a weight room. The HPER also has showers, lockers, and steam rooms. The HPER Service Desk is also the place to purchase Free Time Rec. passes, Fitness Passports, and Swim passes. The HPER Service Desk also has a large selection of sports rental equipment. A simple map is provided here for new comers.

Passes Needed to Use Facilities

The HPER and Fieldhouse facilities are often used for classes and other official functions, however, when the facilities are not in use they are open for anyone with a pass or a valid USU Student ID. Reservations are available at gyms@usu.edu more information available upon request.

All patrons must have a pass in order to use the HPER facilities at USU. There are a variety of passes available for persons in different circumstances. Please see the options listed below to find the proper pass for your circumstance. These passes are available at specific locations so please read carefully.

Student Spouse Pass

Student Spouse Passes are available for purchase at the Taggart Student Center in the card office. This will allow a student spouse access to all Campus Recreation facilities.

Employee Spouse Pass

Employee Spouse Passes are available for purchase at the Taggart Student Center in the card office. Employee must get prior approval from Human Resource Department. This will allow an employee spouse access to all Campus Recreation facilities.

Alumni Pass

Alumni Passes are available to USU Alumni. These passes are discounted to current members of Alumni Association. Patrons must present member card to Campus Recreation (HPER) Service Desk to purchase pass. This pass allows access to all Campus Recreation facilities.

Public Passes

Public Passes may purchase a pass to gain access to all Campus Recreation facilities. The pass may be purchased at HPER Service Desk. These passes are valid from month-to-month.

Checking In Policies

All patrons gaining access to the HPER or Nelson Fieldhouse facilities must check in at that building's service desk and show their pass before using the facilities. Any patron not following this policy will be given the option to either purchase a pass or leave the facility.
