Rodeo
As members of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, members of USU’s Rodeo Club compete in college rodeos throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. Traveling to various locations in Utah and Southern Idaho, members compete as individuals as well as a team in hopes to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo held in Casper, Wyoming. The USU Rodeo Club is home to the 2011 College National Finals Rodeo Champion Team Ropers and sends many individuals back to Nationals yearly.
These members compete against colleges from throughout the region including: Weber State University, Utah Valley University, College of Southern Idaho, Southern Utah University, Idaho State University, Colorado Northwestern Community College, and Colorado Mesa University. Events offered at the collegiate level include saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat tying.
The USU Rodeo Club would like to thank the many businesses who support the team and Dr. Jeffery Hall for coaching them to compete among the best rodeo competitors in the nation.
