Campus Recreation Fitness is aimed at giving students--as well as faculty and staff--a fun yet rigorous exercise program that is also social and dynamic. We offer three different options to help you stay in shape: exercises classes, races and Crossfit.
Eight classes are offered Monday through Thursday at various times: yoga, core, bootcamp, HIIT, cycling, Zumba, power sculpt, and cycling & core. Each class is $15 for students and $30 for USU faculty and staff. Classes begin September 8 with two full weeks free of charge to help you decide which is best for you. Our Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga classes begin Wednesday, October 1 at 7:30 in the HPER pools. Each class will be $15 and is limited to 16 people.
Throughout the school year there are four races, one in the fall and three in the spring. Run our Turkey Trot 5k Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. on campus. The race starts at the HPER. The spring races are all indoor triathlons, aimed to help beginners get ready for the triathlon season in late spring and early summer. The indoor triathlons will be January 24, 2015, February 21, and March 21. All of the races are available to USU students, faculty and staff.
Crossfit at USU is the fastest growing fitness program on campus. It's no surprise why it's so popular, students get instruction from certified trainers who encourage and coach them to succeed at their fitness goals. Crossfit classes are offered Monday though Friday starting August 25 until the week before finals. Signups are done by class times and are $80 per person.
