Health Professions Advising
The Health Professions Advising Center in Career Services is here to support students planning to attend graduate programs in the health professions. Some of these graduate programs include medical, dental, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, optometry, podiatry, chiropractic, and occupational therapy graduate programs. Professional schools are looking for students who have the both academic potential to succeed in a rigorous, science-based professional program and the personal potential to be a competent and compassionate health professional. To learn more about preparing for professional school, please explore this website. Students just beginning down a prehealth pathway should start by viewing our orientation packet as well as this brief introduction to what it means to be a prehealth student. We just completed our Prehealth Orientation meetings for the year and if you missed them you can view the recording here. Contact our advisors at any time for more help and advice.
