Consider the staff at Career Services your partner as you explore and make career plans. We look forward to working with you to develop an effective set of career search activities to help you reach your goal. Think of your Career Services’ advisor as your “career coach”. Your career coach can guide you through a customized career planning process by helping you develop:
- the knowledge to select a major through a variety of career assessments and counseling;
- job search strategies for internships and career employment;
- skills in the art of effective networking;
- connections with USU alumni working in regional, national, and multi-national corporations;
- an approach that works when you visit a variety of employers at our career fairs and expos;
- highly effective cover letters and resumes;
- the ablity to communicate your unique strengths in an interview - you can even practice with a virtual mock interview and watch it with your career coach;
Working with your career coach gives you the ability to build a network of potential employers and alumni. Career Services is the link between students and successful career employment.
