LEXIS®-NEXIS® is a great resource available to the USU community. It provides information on over 200,000 U.S. Companies.
Hoover's Online has short but powerful profiles of over 15,000 companies. Hoover's reports can be accessed through LEXIS®-NEXIS® by selecting Company Financial Information and Report Type: Hoover's Company Report.
Experience.com provides in-depth profiles of hundreds of companies and industries.
Use Big Book or Switchboard to search for a certain type of company in specific areas (i.e. all Engineering firms in Sandy, UT), then look up the Hoover's report on the companies you find.
